Scope of work
The brief for Mikhail S. Vorontsov was broad yet straightforward: to build a large sailing yacht that embodies luxury and style to the highest standards. Her designerS, Gerard Dijkstra & Partners and Ken Freivokh, are the masterminds behind the legendary 106-metre Black Pearl. Their creativity, combined with our in-house expertise, was instrumental to Mikhail S. Vorontsov’s success.
Upon delivery in 2013, Mikhail S. Vorontsov was the third-largest private sailing yacht built in the Netherlands and the 10th-largest in the world. Inspired by tradition, she adopted an elegant, three-masted classic staysail rigging.
With a total sail plan of 1,514 square metres and twin MTU engines that provide a 22,950-nautical-mile range when cruising at 11.5 knots, Mikhail S. Vorontsov is a true world voyager.
With five staterooms, comprising two VIP suites, two twin rooms, and an owner’s apartment, Mikhail S. Vorontsov can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. The owner’s apartment is full-beam, featuring a lounge and an intimate outdoor retreat, with a private staircase leading directly from the owner’s lobby to a sauna and massage parlour. Mikhail S. Vorontsov also hosts a crew of 11 and is constructed with a cold-moulded mahogany hull.
