The 63.25-metre sailing yacht Athos arrived at Balk Shipyard in late 2020 for an annual class survey and maintenance. Numerous repairs, rebuilds and renovations were part of the scope of work.

After sailing for 10 years, Holland Jachtbouw’s largest sailing yacht Athos was scheduled for a survey and maintenance appointment. All work was completed in-house at Balk Shipyard and there was a varied degree of work involved. Both propeller shafts were removed, cleaned and reinstalled.
The pumps and hydraulic cylinders were rebuilt and repairs were made to the aluminium and steel pipework. We also modified many stainless steel elements and serviced the hull valve. We also gave Athos a new coat of antifouling.
