The 22.80-metre sailing yacht Copihue has undertaken three refits at Balk Shipyard. Following an Atlantic crossing, she revisited us to get her in premium shape for the summer charter season.

Scope of work
Originally built at Bloemsma Shipyard in 1997, Copihue is a Hoek-designed sailing yacht that marries classic elegance with modern performance. After a successful winter season in US waters, she undertook an Atlantic crossing and returned to Europe. Located as we are in northern Europe, less than 10 days sailing from the Mediterranean, our shipyard is perfectly situated for a stop-off between seasons.
Copihue was booked for several months for an overhaul of the electrical systems, which included new navigation, AV, alarm and monitoring systems on board.
The rig was completely removed during the service and we performed many aluminium hot works. All cap rails were dismantled and replaced, and the sails and rigging were fine-tuned. After her relaunch,
Copihue set sail to the United Kingdom before a busy charter season in the Mediterranean.
