The motor yacht ALUMERCIA returned to our facilities after several years. In her earlier years, when she was still owned by the family that had her built at Heesen Yachts, we already had the opportunity to carry out refit works on board of this astonishing superyacht.
Now, a couple of years later and a few owners further in time, we had the privilege to welcome her back at our shipyard with her new Owners. These Owners were valued Clients to us since we’ve performed a refit for them on their 50m Palmer & Johnson motoryacht TURMOIL in the past.
At the time of arrival MY ALUMERCIA was in need of a serious refit and therefore a complete refit plan has been made. In this plan a complete exterior paint job was scheduled. The VT Naiad stabilizers were replaced for the new generation 0-speed stabilizers. Due to a huge amount of running hours it was decided to renew and upgrade both generators. In the airco system the chiller plant as well as all Fan Coil units were renewed. In regards to the propulsion system both main engines have been completely rebuilt and serviced and both Schottel rudder propellers have been fully overhauled and their steering system has been upgraded to the very latest standards of this technics.
Furthermore, quite a big change to the exterior was made since the tender as well as the crane were replaced from the bridge deck to the fly bridge. Herefore quite some aluminium hot works was involved to make the construction strong and stiff enough to support all this.
In regards to the interior the full interior of the main deck was stripped and needed to be replaced to create a much modern interior look. The same happened to the sky lounge.
For most of the above mentioned works we’ve been involved but during the project it has been decided to have the works finished by the Owners team themselves in-house.
