MY Africa arrived at our premises in September 2018. This 47m Benetti came to our shipyard for only a short visit.
As soon as she was hauled out she was parked on an outside track for some repair and maintenance works on the bow section. One of the jobs was to repair the bow which was damaged due to collision and there was also little hot metal works involved. Next to this, the paint system needed to be repaired to be fully compliant with the original specifications and the superyacht standard.
In the meantime they’ve benefitted for being with us for little other works such as adding protection bars on to the bulbous bow, the after ship and stern were upgraded with a led underwater lights and several piping systems in lazarette and engine room have been re-routed and replaced. Also some related paint works were carried out as well in these spaces.
After a few weeks the MY Africa was relaunched so she could continue her sailing plan for the Winter season.
