The yard at Balk Shipyard is thoughtfully designed to serve the unique needs of superyachts. OUR YARD
BERTHS
Our facilities are sheltered in Urk Harbour. We have four berths in sweet water for superyachts up to 65 metres in length, which we primarily use for outfitting. Each berth is well protected and easy to navigate and moor. There are an additional three dry berths on the hardstanding area. Everything is set up to ensure continuity, safety and a smooth experience, exactly what owners and crew expect from a Dutch yard.

TRACKS
Balk Shipyard has a unique yard connected by tracks. A yacht can be hauled out of the water and moved to the hardstanding area or directly into one of our three halls. Our yard has three tracks that serve as dry berths for yachts up to 65 metres in length. Our rail-connected dry berths reflect our commitment to reliable planning and seamless project flow.
LIFTING SYSTEM
The lifting system at Balk Shipyard is unique and custom-designed. Our system is secure, fast and efficient. With a set of tracks that run throughout our yard and into our halls, we can safely haul out and transport yachts up to 1.000 tonnes. This system is a cornerstone of our precise and efficient project execution ensuring timing and safety when it matters most.
